Privacy Policy

The short version

Your tax figures stay on your device. The free calculator runs entirely in your browser — your salary, family situation, and deductions are saved to your browser's local storage so you can resume later, and are not transmitted to our servers. We don't run ads, we don't sell data, and we never will.

What we collect, and when

• Calculator inputs. Stored only in your browser's local storage under the key hktaxwise.draft.v1. Clearing your browser data removes them completely. They are never sent to us.
• Waitlist email. If you ask us to notify you about the Filer tier, we store the email address you give us (and nothing else) in our hosting provider's key-value store (Cloudflare). We use it for that one purpose. Ask us to delete it at any time.
• Aggregate analytics. If enabled, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not track you across sites or build a profile of you.

What we never do

• We never ask for, store, or log your HKID number.
• We never sell or share personal data with third parties.
• We never use your data to train AI models, and any future AI features will state plainly what is sent, where, and why — before you use them.
• We never run advertising or tax-loan referrals.

Your choices

To remove your calculator data, clear your browser storage for this site (or use your browser's "clear site data" control). To remove a waitlist email or ask what we hold about you, email hello@hkwealthwise.com and we'll action it within 14 days.

Jurisdiction

HKTaxWise operates from Hong Kong and handles personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
